Thus the heavens and the earth...

God created the heavens and the earth.
He hath established it,
and created it not in vain.
‘I plant the heavens,
and lay the foundations of the earth,
I am the LORD that maketh all things.
That stretcheth forth the heavens alone
that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself.
The heaven for height,
and the earth for depth.’
From heaven did the LORD
behold the earth.
